Getting started
How do we get started?
You book a 30-minute demo. If Brado makes sense for your church, we set everything up with you: name, colour, logo and import of your people, at no extra cost. Your church is ready in up to 2 weeks. Then you invite the church by link or QR code, and each member joins from their phone.
Can I bring the data I already have?
Yes. In Import data you bring in people and families, groups, donations and attendance from Excel or CSV, up to 20,000 rows at a time. You see duplicates and errors before saving and can undo the import for 24 hours. From the Grow plan there is assisted import from Planning Center, ChurchTools, ChMeetings, ChurchCRM and Breeze.
How many leaders can use the dashboard?
As many as you need. We do not charge per user. Each person gets permissions according to their role, so the treasury sees finances and the church office sees person records. If you need to, you can create roles tailored to your church.
Which languages does it work in?
The dashboard and the app work in six languages: Portuguese (Portugal and Brazil), English, Spanish, French and German. Portuguese (Portugal) is the main language and the others are still being reviewed. If you spot wording we could improve, let us know.
Pricing and billing
How much does it cost?
Grow costs €29 a month for up to 250 people and Build €69 a month for up to 1,000 people and 3 campuses. Network is on request. Before you pay, we run a demo and set Brado up with you. Prices are in euros; VAT depends on your country and is confirmed in the proposal. Details are on the Pricing page.
Can I cancel? Is there a lock-in?
Monthly plans have no lock-in. You cancel the renewal whenever you like and access continues until the end of the paid period. We do not give refunds, so if you are undecided, start with the monthly plan. After the demo, the subscription is paid from the start.
How does the Founder price work?
It is Grow at €24 a month for the first 50 paying churches, for as long as the subscription stays active, and only on monthly payment. Joining now also helps us decide what to build next.
Data and security
Where is the church’s data stored?
In the European Union. Brado is designed with the GDPR in mind: faith is sensitive data (Article 9), so we store consents and each church sees only its own data. More detail under Security and GDPR.
Who sees pastoral notes and children’s data?
Only people with permission. Restricted care cases are seen by the case owner and whoever they invite. Children’s data has limited access, and administrators sign in with two-step verification.
Can I export or delete a person’s data?
Yes. From a person’s record you can export their data to a file and anonymise it. Members can delete their own account in the app, and the church sets the retention period.
Does the AI assistant see pastoral notes?
No. The text assistant works only with what you type in the request, and the screen warns you not to include personal data or pastoral information. Today it uses the church’s own AI key, and you should always review the text it produces.
Do I keep my data if I cancel?
Yes. Before access ends, whoever manages privacy downloads a file with people, families, groups, ministries, campuses, events, registrations, funds and donations. Pastoral care, prayer and children’s data are left out of the file.
App and members
Do members have to install anything?
No. The app runs in the browser and can be added to the phone’s home screen. From Grow it carries the church’s name, colour and icon.
Is the app in the app stores?
No. It installs from the browser, without going through the stores, which avoids developer accounts and approvals. Members open the church’s link or QR code and add the app to their home screen.
Does the songbook work on a phone?
Yes. The worship team opens songs with chord charts, changes key, uses a capo, lets the lyrics scroll on their own and switches to stage mode. Members only see it if the church opens it up. See more under Worship and songbook.
What about people who do not use the app?
They still receive email and stay on the church’s lists. The church office records attendance and information in the dashboard, even if the person never opens the app.
How does children’s ministry check-in work?
It records each child’s arrival and departure, with a pick-up code and allergy alerts. Only an authorised parent or guardian collects the child, and any exception is logged with the reason. Available from Grow.
Giving
Which payment methods do donations accept?
Card, SEPA direct debit and MB WAY. MB WAY is a payment method used in Portugal and covers one-off contributions only. A gift can be one-off or recurring, and anonymous too, and the money goes to the church’s account.
Does Brado keep part of the donations?
No, Brado’s commission is 0%. What the church pays are the payment processor’s fees, with no margin from us, and donations go straight to the church’s account.
Does Brado issue receipts and prepare the Modelo 25?
For churches in Portugal. From Grow, Brado issues numbered receipts and each person’s annual statement, and prepares the data for the Modelo 25, the annual donations return that Portuguese organisations file with the tax authority. Check the year-end close with your accountant. The Modelo 25 guide explains the rules.
