AI assistant for the church office and communication
You describe in words who you want to find or the announcement you need to write. Brado returns criteria or a draft, and a person reviews everything before it is used.
Today it works with the church’s own AI key. The included mode is being prepared.
Write what you’re looking for, review the criteria, save the segment
The AI returns only criteria, not database queries, and saves nothing for you.
- 1 / 4 You describe it in words In “New segment” you type, for example, members with children who haven’t come in 60 days.
- 2 / 4 You fill in the filters One click on “Fill in filters” and the sentence becomes criteria in the form.
- 3 / 4 You review the criteria Status, absence and children appear as ordinary filters. You can change any of them.
- 4 / 4 You see who matches The count and the list update before you save. If it doesn’t understand the sentence, Brado tells you and lets you set the criteria yourself.
Five requests the assistant handles
You pick the request and the tone, write what it is about, and the text appears for you to copy. The assistant sends nothing.
Announcement for the community
What the announcement is about, for example the Christmas service and what to bring.
An invitation to the retreat, with the registration deadline.
Social media post
A short text for a volunteer day.
Summarise a report
You type the figures, one per line, and get a summary in words.
How do I…?
Short answers on how to do things in Brado, drawn from the help topics.
Choose the tone
Warm, formal or direct.
What the AI doesn’t see, and what a person decides
These limits are set in Brado’s code.
It doesn’t read pastoral notes
Nor pastoral care, private prayer requests, sensitive record fields or children’s ministry data.
It cleans free text
Before anything goes through, Brado strips out email addresses, phone numbers, tax numbers and IBANs typed into the request. Even so, avoid personal data.
A person reviews
Every draft carries the notice “AI can make mistakes: check dates, times and names”. Filters are left for you to review before saving.
The church is in charge
Only the owner and administrators switch AI on or off. There is also an emergency brake that stops it.
Today, with your church’s own AI key
Brado’s included mode is being prepared. Until then, you connect a key from a provider of your choice.
Switch on AI
In settings, under Integrations, you turn on AI for your church.
AdminChoose “Use my own key”
You enter the provider, the model and the key. The key is stored encrypted, used only on the server, and afterwards you only see the last four characters.
Own keyAccept the data protection notice
The church has a direct contract with the provider and is responsible for the processing. Brado does not send pastoral notes, pastoral care or private prayer requests.
Your contractTest the connection
A button confirms the key works and shows the result of the last test.

Frequently asked questions
Does the AI read pastoral notes or sensitive data?
No. Pastoral notes, pastoral care, private prayer requests and sensitive fields are outside what the AI can read. The request carries your text, already cleaned of contact details, plus identifiers or aggregate figures.
Can I use the assistant today?
Yes, with the church’s own AI key, from a provider of your choice. Brado’s included mode, with a monthly limit per plan, is being prepared and is not yet available.
Who reviews the text?
You do. The assistant shows the draft for you to copy and warns that it may get dates, times and names wrong. It sends and publishes nothing.
Does data leave the European Union?
With your own key, the data sent goes to the provider you choose, and it may leave the European Union. That is why the church accepts a data protection notice before connecting the key. Avoid names and contact details in requests.
Does the AI make decisions about people?
No. Filters are criteria you review before saving, and texts are drafts. Who contacts someone, and when, is a decision for a member of the team.
Which plans have AI?
Yes. Plain-language filters and the assistant for drafts, summaries and help are on every plan.
