Church calendar for your website and room booking
Published events appear in a calendar you can place on the church website or subscribe to on your phone. Rooms and resources have bookings, approvals and an occupancy view.
The same calendar in four places
Calendar embedded in the church website
You paste an iframe with the calendar address into your website, or another site. It shows upcoming published events, and you can filter by services or by events.
Subscription via iCal feed
Anyone who wants the calendar on their phone taps “Subscribe to calendar”. The feed updates in the person’s calendar, with no need to import files again.
Occupancy view by room and by day
You see the bookings, blocks and events for each room, day by day, read-only. So you know whether the room is free before saying yes.
Request a room without an account
Anyone who needs a room fills in a public page with the room, the reason and the time. The request stays pending until the team approves or rejects it, and the reply goes out by email.
What each space knows about itself
Venues and rooms
Capacity, type (owned, rented or lent), cost per hour, accessibility, parking and person in charge.
Equipment
Projector, sound, piano or movable chairs, with the quantity the church has. Booked per event.
Set-up margin
The venue stays occupied before and after each event, for set-up and tidying away.
Block a venue
Maintenance, building work or private use. A block is refused if there is already a booking at that time.
Request approval
Venues that require approval keep leaders’ requests pending until someone decides.
Frequently asked questions
How do I put the calendar on the church website?
You use an iframe with your church’s calendar address. The address accepts a filter by type, services or events. The calendar shows only what is already public on the events page.
Can I subscribe to the calendar on my phone?
Yes. The public calendar has an iCal feed and a “Subscribe to calendar” button. Phone calendars re-fetch it from time to time, so changes can take a little while to appear.
Who can request a room?
Leaders request inside the portal. People outside the church use a public page, if you switch that option on for the venue. Public requests stay pending until someone approves them.
Can two activities use the same room at the same time?
Only if the booking says it accepts sharing the venue at that time. Without that option, saving is refused when there is a conflict.
Does the public calendar show personal data?
No. It shows the same data as the public events page, that is, the events you have published. The embedded calendar is not indexed by search engines.
Which plan is it on?
The calendar, venues and bookings are part of Events, available on every plan.
