Pastoral care: notice who has stopped coming

Everyone being followed up has an owner, a next contact and notes only the pastoral team sees. The pastor knows who to speak to this week.

Care cases

Who is following up whom, and when the next contact is

You open a case when someone needs attention. You pick the type, set the owner and the date of the next contact. Visits and contacts are logged in the case itself, so whoever picks it up next knows where it was left.

  • Case types, such as “Drifting away”, and an owner for each.
  • Log of home visits, phone calls and conversations.
  • Restricted confidentiality: only the case owner and invitees see it.

Who has stopped coming

The absentee list arrives before the silence sets in

The absentee report shows who has stopped coming, by period. On the home screen, the “Needs attention” block puts those people in front of the team. The report on people without follow-up shows who has neither an owner nor an open case.

Three people, a woman, a young man and an older man, sitting on a green sofa talking, with cups on the table.

Prayer

A prayer wall where the church says “I prayed”

Members share requests on the app’s wall or on the church’s public prayer page. Whoever prays taps “I prayed” and the person who asked sees they are not alone. They can also write the request anonymously.

  • An “I prayed” button for the community to say they have prayed.
  • Anonymous requests, and requests for the pastoral team to follow up.
  • When a request is answered, the member can share a testimony, which the pastoral team reads before publishing it.

The rest of care, in detail

Features that support follow-up.

The team publishes time slots and the member requests a conversation or a visit, on their phone.

Family, notes, consents and skills in the same record, with role-based access.

Link parents and children in the same family, so you care for the household and not just one person.

Group people by criteria, for example newcomers or older members, and create tasks for the team.

Follow those who have newly arrived until they are connected to a small group or a ministry. With the “I’m new” form, the visitor is registered and the team gets an alert.

Members log how they feel, for themselves only. If they choose to share, the pastoral team sees the last 14 days of entries and can contact them. People without permission don’t see it.

A birthday list for the team to phone on the right day.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Who sees pastoral notes?

Only the pastoral team with permission. In restricted cases, only the case owner and the people they invite. Permissions come from each person’s role, and the team’s activity log is kept.

Does Brado tell me who I should visit?

It shows who has stopped coming and who has no follow-up. The decision to phone, visit or wait is the pastor’s. Brado is there so that follow-up doesn’t depend on one person’s memory.

Can I book conversations and visits through the app?

Yes. The team publishes time slots and members request a conversation or a visit. It is for organising the pastoral diary. It isn’t professional counselling: what is said in the conversation stays with the pastoral team.

Can prayer requests be anonymous?

Yes, a member can choose to share a request without their name showing. The church can pray and tap “I prayed” without knowing who asked. The request stays on the wall for the community to pray, and the pastoral team sees requests in a view of their own.

Can I use this in a small church?

Yes. In a church of 60 people it means the pastor doesn’t have to rely on memory and can share the follow-up with a deacon. Grow costs €29 a month for up to 250 people, and the price depends on the size of the church.

What does the “I’m new” form do?

The visitor fills in the form and is registered as a person, a task is opened for the team and they get an alert. That way the visitor doesn’t end up only in a notebook. The team sees the task on the dashboard and logs the contact in the care case.
